Through five senses, each chapter explores a different perception—sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell—through symbolic references to iconic works of art. A poetic and emotional journey, questioning what remains after all senses fade away.
Working Title — In Development
In 1998, as Astana emerges as a new capital, a lonely child fills the silence with family rituals and a vivid imagination, waiting for the city to wake up.
Born in Almaty and raised in Astana during its rapid transformation, I remember the city less through events than through atmosphere: vast spaces, silence, and the feeling of waiting for something to take shape.
Through a minimal and contemplative approach, the film explores childhood loneliness, routine, and the tension between an empty outer world and a vivid inner imagination.
